Coaching for
ADHD grounded
in your strengths
Build confidence, gain clarity, and implement strategies that work for your unique brain
Discover your inner strengths, accomplish your intentions, and experience more of what matters to you
As an ADHDer or AuDHDer, you’re likely to be an idea-generator, a creative problem-solver, a connection-maker, a big-picture strategic thinker, endlessly curious, and relentlessly driven, particularly in areas of interest. You excel in a crisis, thrive when there’s urgency, and are more capable, resourceful, and knowledgeable than you might know.
I help you to acknowledge and leverage your unique gifts with coaching for ADHD grounded in your strengths
Unfortunately ADHD isn’t all strengths, sunshine, and rainbows.
For many adults, ADHD, including AuDHD (Autism and ADHD co-occurring), can be incredibly challenging to navigate without proper resources and support. Since ADHD and Autism are still widely misunderstood and stigmatized, and strengths-based supports are limited, your sense of self and overall well-being may take a hit, negatively impacting you professionally and personally.
As an ADHDer myself, your lived experience and challenges will never be downplayed or dismissed. You will, however, be seen, heard, and understood by someone who gets it.
- “Maybe you’ve been led to believe that ADHD is a “problem you need to solve” or something “to fix.” (It is neither.)
- Perhaps no matter how hard you try or what you do, you still feel scattered, overwhelmed, or behind in life or at work, and fear never living up to your potential. (“Trying harder” is never the issue or solution since ADHDers are already trying more than most could possibly imagine.)
- You likely struggle with brain-based executive functioning skills that many non-ADHDers take for granted and (magically!) just know how to do. (ADHD minds are wired differently but because this is invisible, ADHDers are often unfairly judged for not easily doing things others find relatively simple due to their mind’s wiring. On the flipside, they can’t easily do what ADHDers can do, especially when interested.)
- These executive functioning challenges include things like planning, prioritizing, organizing (oneself, information, and objects), managing time, regulating emotions and energy, and remembering (short-term working memory). These brain-based challenges can impact your day-to-day productivity, well-being, relationships, and self-worth. (These executive functioning challenges are not your “fault” and do not make you stupid, lazy, or any less capable as a human.)
- As an ADHDer, you also probably find it extremely difficult (even painful) to do things that you do not find interesting or that take a lot of mental and emotional effort, in part due to the executive functioning challenges. (Again, not your fault, nothing to “fix,” and does not mean you are “lazy.”)
- ADHDers also have “interest-based minds” that produce lower levels of dopamine which means (unlike non-ADHDers,) it’s essential to develop strategies to raise your interest level and improve executive functioning skills in order to start and complete painfully boring or ambiguous tasks. (A coaching partnership supports you in developing the skills, strategies, and self-awareness to better navigate these mind-based challenges (and more!) that ADHDers experience.)

Business Coaching, Consulting & Training
No two brains are the same and there isn’t a “right,” “normal,” or “best” way to think, learn, process, communicate, or get the job done. And yet, most business practices still narrowly focus on an outdated, costly, one-size-fits-all approach.

About Me
Shelly Lyons
a Holistic ADHD Coach
Hi! I’m Shelly Lyons, and I am passionate about supporting individuals like you to live the life you’ve always wanted as we change the narrative about ADHD, AuDHD, and Neurodivergent identities in adulthood.
I am an ADHDer myself, late-identified at 39, after years of anxiety, imposter syndrome, and not feeling like I was living up to my potential. Now I understand why I internally struggled for so long – I didn’t have the identity or “diagnosis,” self-awareness, or support I truly needed to be the best version of me. I have since turned my life’s positive and painful experiences into my passion for ADHD coaching, leadership coaching for different thinkers, and advocacy for a more Neurodiversity-affirming world.
I finally love what I do and am grateful for the privilege of partnering with ADHDers, AuDHDers, and leaders charting their own path regardless of whether they have a label or not. My clients are some of the most talented, brilliant, curious, and witty people I know and they are the reason I believe that I will never “work” another day in my life because I truly love being a thought partner and coach.
What sets me apart from
other ADHD coaches:
- I am an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) validated by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and have over 800 coaching hours
- I am also trained and certified in ADHD and Life Coaching from the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA), an ICF affiliated and comprehensive global ADHD coaching program
- I have a background in Human Resources leadership with executive and leadership coaching experience in corporate and non-profit organizations
- I played D1 basketball at Brown University and understand the importance of exercise, rest, structure, support systems, and having fun as an ADHDer
- As a late-identified ADHDer, I understand firsthand what it’s like to feel as though you are “failing at life” and not living up to your “potential” without a clue why despite seeming successful and accomplished
- I’m warm, non-judgmental, and intuitive
- I ask questions and offer thoughtful reflections that provide clarity from the inside out
- I support you in finding much needed balance in all areas of your health and well-being
- I provide you accountability support through weekly coaching sessions, guiding you through the planning process so you can take action and develop mindsets leading to meaningful change long after coaching concludes
We’ll make a
Great fit if:
- You’re open to experimenting with new strategies and perspectives
- You aren’t looking for someone to tell you what to do but rather support you through thoughtful and powerful questions and reflections in discovering what works for you and what’s getting in the way
- You’re ready to make a commitment to yourself to spend the time, energy, and resources that it will take to create positive meaningful change, one small step at a time
- You’re ready to find balance in your professional, personal, or academic life
- You need help identifying your patterns and strengths as you live with more confidence and pride in who you are and all you bring to the table
- You want more calm, clarity, joy, and overall increased well-being
- You’re curious to learn more about working with your brain, including how to plan, organize, manage time and energy, regulate emotions, and follow through without relying on urgency, people-pleasing, or beating yourself up
