Coaching for
ADHD grounded
in your strengths
Build confidence, gain clarity, and implement strategies that work for your unique brain
Discover your inner strengths and find balance as you accomplish more than you ever thought possible
As an ADHDer, you’re an idea-generator, a creative problem-solver, a connection-maker, a big-picture strategic thinker, endlessly curious, and relentlessly driven, particularly in areas of interest. You excel in a crisis, thrive when there’s urgency, and are more capable, resourceful, and knowledgeable than you might know.
I help you to acknowledge and leverage your gifts with coaching for ADHD grounded in your strengths
ADHD isn’t all strengths, sunshine, and rainbows of course, and for many, it is an invisible disability impacting every aspect of daily life
As an ADHDer myself, your brain-based challenges will never be downplayed or dismissed
They will, however, be understood
- Maybe you’ve been led to believe that ADHD is a “problem you need to solve” or something “to fix.” (It is neither.)
- Perhaps no matter how hard you try or what you do, you still feel scattered, overwhelmed, or behind in life or at work, and fear never living up to your potential. (“Trying harder” is never the issue or solution since ADHDers are already trying more than most could possibly imagine.)
- You likely struggle with brain-based executive functioning skills that many non-ADHDers take for granted and (magically!) just know how to do. (ADHD brains are wired differently but because this is invisible, ADHDers are often shamed for not easily doing things the majority of people find super simple due to their brain-wiring.)
- These include short term working memory, planning, prioritizing, organizing (oneself, information, and objects), managing time, regulating emotions and energy, and decision-making that affect your day-to-day well-being, relationships, and self-worth. (These challenges are not your fault and do not make you stupid or any less capable as a human.)
- As an ADHDer, you also probably find it extremely difficult (even painful) to do things that you do not find interesting. (Again, not your fault and does not mean you are “lazy.”)
- ADHDers have interest-based brains which means (unlike non-ADHDers,) you have to implement strategies to raise your interest level in order to start and complete painfully boring tasks. (Coaching supports you in developing the skills, strategies, and self-awareness to better navigate these brain-based challenges (and more!) that ADHDers experience.)

Your perspective, approaches, and awareness will shift as you better understand your brain wiring and learn how to work with it, instead of against it.
Business Coaching, Consulting & Training
No two brains are the same and there isn’t a “right,” “normal,” or “best” way to think, learn, process, communicate, or get the job done. And yet, most business practices still narrowly focus on an outdated, costly, one-size-fits-all approach.
Understanding the power of ADHD and Neurodiversity, and leveraging the unique abilities of all employees, are competitive advantages in today’s rapidly changing workplaces.
Through my services, I help organizations better understand and leverage neurocognitive differences on an individual, team, or systematic basis.
You may find yourself wondering if it’s supposed to be this hard this often.
It doesn’t have to be
With clarity, self-awareness, and an understanding of your fascinating and brilliant ADHD brain, you develop more confidence and trust in yourself and your unique abilities.
You learn to leverage your strengths, plan your time, manage your energy, and navigate the challenges you experience in all areas of your life: personal, professional, and academic.
You find balance, joy, relaxation, and compassion for yourself, and release yourself from the pressure of the crushing “shoulds”. You get more done and feel better about yourself along the way.
ADHD Coaching gives you the structure and space you need to learn about your unique brain so you can accomplish more of what matters to you with less stress and overwhelm.
Together, we’ll take an experimental and holistic approach to ADHD coaching and tailor each and every session to you as an individual to guide you in discovering your inner strengths and managing obstacles.

About Me
Shelly Lyons
a Holistic ADHD Coach
Hi! I’m Shelly Lyons, and I am passionate about supporting individuals like you to live the life you’ve always wanted as we change the narrative about ADHD in adulthood.
I am an ADHD-er myself, late-identified at 39, after years of anxiety, imposter syndrome, and not feeling like I was living up to my potential. Now I understand why I internally struggled for so long – I didn’t have the diagnosis, self-awareness or support I truly needed to be the best version of me. I have since turned my life’s positive and painful experiences into my passion for ADHD coaching and advocacy.
I finally love what I do and am grateful for the privilege of partnering with ADHD-ers and AuDHD-ers who are some of the most brilliant, curious, resourceful, resilient, and witty people I know.
What sets me apart from
other ADHD coaches:
- I have a background in Human Resources with executive and leadership coaching experience in corporate and non-profit organizations
- I’m certified in ADHD and Life Coaching from ADDCA, an ICF accredited global ADHD coaching program
- As a late-diagnosed ADHD-er myself, I understand firsthand what it’s like to feel like you are failing at life and not living up to your “potential” without a clue why despite seeming successful and accomplished
- I’m warm, non-judgmental, and intuitive
- I ask questions and offer thoughtful reflections that provide clarity from the inside out
- I support you in finding much needed balance in all areas of your health and well-being
- I provide you accountability, and support you in the planning process to take action and develop mindsets leading to meaningful change
- I played basketball at Brown University and understand the importance of physical movement, rest, and having fun as an ADHD-er
We’ll make a
Great fit if:
- You’re open to experimenting with new strategies and perspectives
- You’re ready to find balance in your professional, personal, or academic life
- You need help identifying your patterns and strengths as you live with more confidence and pride in who you are and all you bring to the table
- You want more calm, clarity, joy, and overall increased well-being
- You’re ready to make a commitment to yourself to spend the time, energy, and resources that it will take to create positive sustainable change, one small step at a time
- You’re curious to learn more about working with your brain, including how to plan, organize, manage time and energy, and follow through without relying on urgency, people-pleasing, or beating yourself up
